I woke up in the middle of the night to see the shuttle Endeavor take off. ..well not "live" but on TV. It was pretty awesome! When we visited the Kennedy Space Center in January we were able to see part of the working area where the engineers from different countries are building different pods to go in the International Space Station. We also saw a prototype of Dexter, the robot. Sadly the shuttle program will end in 2010, before I can get on one and take off.

did you know I grew up on Merritt Island, FL. The same place the shuttle takes off from. Yep, you were in my hometown! My dad worked at the space center his whole life.
